Freelancers who work through Stopgap are paid on a monthly basis by EFT directly into their bank account or alternatively via the client's payroll. Either way, the day rate you're on is the gross figure; income tax and 9% superannuation are yet to be deducted.
Although many freelance jobs don't offer the same benefits as permanent marketing roles, freelancers are paid comparatively more to make up for this. As a freelancer you are not entitled to any holiday or sick pay.
If you have your own ABN you may be able to be paid via this. Please talk to your Stopgap Consultant about this at the time of your initial interview.
