Snr AM - FMCG - Permanent - $85,000 - North Shore - 20 Jan 2012

Our agency client is a grass roots experiential and promotional marketing agency working with a great range of bluechip clients from fashion to telco to FMCG - alcohol and soft drinks.A medium sized agency, based in North Sydney, this is a 'character-ful' agency and not best suited for wallflowers! One of the team, a Snr AM, is leaving to go to the UK and they need a fabulous Snr AM to take over. You'll be a great ideas person with proven experience in experiential and BTL campaigns, a charismatic and confident account handler used to leading client relationships, participating in pitches and writing compelling creative briefs and proposals. The agency has a slightly unusual set up in that the client team of 7 are responsible for working with the client to establish the brief, then leading the brainstorming process and distilling the big ideas relevant to the brand. You will be responsible for the ideation process and the development of the big idea. There is an in house designer but no creative team - this process will rest with you so this is why the ideas need to be bursting out of your very core! Are you someone who loves brand and 'just gets it' when it comes to brand and activity that strikes a chord with the clients and their consumers? It's likely that you will have at least 12 months experience at Snr AM level and feel that you have found your feet at this level of responsibility but still happy to finesse your skills and stay as Snr AM for the next 18 months+.If you have lived and breathed experiential and promotional marketing and are looking for a move to an agency who really look after and reward the team for their hard work, do get in touch now.Your experience to date will have seen you actively participating in pitches and writing compelling pitch proposals etc. Of course relationship building will be second nature to you and you'll be personable and have chameleon-like qualities to suit your clients. The agency is based in Milson's Point, North Sydney and numbers 28 people. There are 3 departments: client service: 7, activation (producers and briefing staff etc) 8 people and PR (8 people) plus 2 GADs and the two owners and a few support people. The Senior Account Manager who is leaving works across major FMCG and fashion retail and they are just at initial planning stage for 2012 - so exciting times. They work on projects with budgets of varying scale from $50K - $1M budgets. Ideally start first week in February.

Account Director - FMCG - Permanent - $80,000 - Melbourne - 12 Jan 2012

This accomplished global design and branding agency is looking for an experienced Account Director to join their new Melbourne office. The ideal candidate would preferably have experience in design, branding and packaging across the FMCG sectors. This is a unique opportunity as the Melbourne office has just been set up and you'll be working in a small office environment, reporting to the team based in Sydney.Essentially they need a self-starter, professional, bubbly, enthusiastic personality - someone that can work relatively autonomously and build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and other internal stakeholders. You will be managing projects, budgets, estimates and must have a good eye for detail.Design, branding, packaging experience is certainly desirable, however they're also quite open-minded if you have more advertising experience, but must demonstrate a desire to work in a more design/branding agency.

Innovation project lead - FMCG - Permanent - $140,000 - Sydney CBD - 24 Nov 2011

Our client specialises in innovations and the agency is based in great premises in Surry Hills. They work with a variety of clients in FMCG, FS, Consumer tech...Insights and innovation should lie at the very core of what inspires you and makes you fire in your work. The owner/Director is an energetic, motivated and level-headed guy. He's open to employing someone in a project lead capacity or to look at someone more senior/experienced and potentially a business partner. Salary will be dependent on experience.Either way, you'd be working closely with the owner and the project management team of two. I'd say the owner has high expectations in this hire as the business has been built on WOM recommendation. Key to this success is the trusted relationships and the owner wants to maintain this integrity. We are looking for a smart, energetic person to complement the owner, someone he can trust with client relationships and who are 'superstars'.Working with the owner you will be someone who can take the pressure off and ideally manage projects fairly autonomously in time. They often have 3- 7 projects running concurrently and with each project lifecycle taking an average of 3 months (sometimes longer) he needs someone with whom he can divide and conquer. In order for the business to grow they realise that they need someone senior to take some of this project ownership. You will be energetic, inspiring and have a bright and enquiring mind. He's a straight talker which I liked but he also spoke about the softer values he considers important (to be pioneering, to suck the very marrow out of life, to make a difference). His ambition is for the new joiner to enjoy work, to feel invested in, to feel that insights and innovation are something they have an absolute passion for, to enjoy work and bring joy to the team.I think working at this agency will suit someone who can 'invest' - time and energy. A typical 3 month project timeframe might mean 4 night-time research groups, facilitating 3/4 client workshops (which invariably involve an early start to set up and sometimes overnights in Melbourne etc). If this commitment sounds too much this might not be the role for you!We think that this person will have a minimum of 7 years working, post graduation. It's not set in stone but the owner believes this person will have studied to at least degree level or post grad/MBA. Key to success will be to find the right personality and right aptitude. High-level communication skills are a must, as is someone who is switched on and with the right balance of listening/talking and the intuition to connect with senior level clients and talk their language. We are looking for someone who may not talk much but to whom people listen. The sort of work varies tremendously from working with an iconic FMCG business on innovation projects to working with a technology business on re-configuring their operations and services. They are open to finding a potential partner for the owner too, someone who has the experience and aptitude to business develop and lead projects - possible equity. Are you this superstar - a great all rounder, a creative thinker, a strategist, a charismatic person, a people relationship developer? If so, please get in touch now.
