Anna Goater
Anna Goater
Consultant
‘Anna Goater, Healthy Life Promoter’ is what they call her, and with good reason, because there is not much our sporty goat can’t do. In the short time Anna has been in Sydney she has participated in Triathlons, yoga classes, tennis, and frisbee on the beach. After two years working for Stopgap in the UK office Anna’s love for travel took her to the French Alps for a ski season, before following the sunshine beach-hopping through Mexico and Central America. Anna believes Jane Austen is a true legend and would be happy if her Mr. Darcey appeared in the form of an Aussie surfer boy. But according to Anna the best thing about Australia is that the sun shines all the time and they play Bob Marley in Woolies.
Cynthia Harris
Cynthia Harris
Consultant
Like most Brissie girls there’s nothing Cynthia enjoys more than sunshine, the great outdoors, and a generous glass of sav blanc at the end of the day. Having recently returned home from five years in the UK where she worked for Stopgap, Cynthia is enjoying Sydney life exploring the café’s and treasures of her new home, Bondi. Before joining the Stopgap team Cynthia worked in PR, Marketing and Internal Communications. Outside of work Cynthia can be found at the beach, or just generally upsetting NSW Origin fans with her chanting of ‘go the Maroons!’
Jane Pooley
Jane Pooley
Associate Director
Jane is exceptionally good at juggling. Be it two little girls, a bunch of briefs, or fire torches, she is full of tricks. Well maybe not the fire torches, but she’s talented nonetheless. Jane first came to Australia on her gap year, and worked as a Bar Maid on a Vagabond Harbour Cruises. In 1997 Jane started her career with Stopgap in Richmond, but left the bad weather behind for sunny Sydney to join the Stopgap business in Australia. Currently Jane balances motherhood with looking after Stopgap’s In-House roles across Financial Services, Retail, Media and Entertainment.
Nicky Pearson
Nicky Pearson
Senior Consultant
Nicky loves it when people "bare-their-all" to her! Only their bodies though, as she loves nothing better than drawing nudes. Clearly she loves the human body in all its mis-shapes as she adores eating out, and nothing she sees ever puts her off her food. She's also a walking/talking Google of Retail information. So don't go on-line, go on-Nicky if there's anything you want to know about where to shop and buy.
Claire Owen
Claire Owen
Leader of Vision & Values
Yes it's true, Claire holds an HGV licence and used to supplement her grant (yes they did exist once) by delivering loo rolls and frozen turkeys. She's been a nanny in San Fran, a waitress in Hanover Square and has worked on "Chat" magazine. These days she's happiest watching her son play footy, riding horses across the countryside with her daughter and, of course, running the best recruitment agency in the world!
Damien Versluis
Damien Versluis
Financial Controller
Damien is one of the few men in the the Stopgap Group and copes with our female idiosyncracies admirably. Damien's accent is the source of much mystery, having been born in Zambia, raised in Zimbabwe, Sudan, Mozambique, Swaziland, Phillipines, and the United Kingdom (to name a few), before his travels brought him to Australia. Having completed his St Johns Ambulance Course, he is not just our Payroll & Finance Manager, but also the person to speak to on any first aid issues!
Jessica Parry
Jessica Parry
Front of House
Self -confessed hoopaholic Jessie has a knack for discovering unique sports and activities, from underwater hockey to her latest passion hula hooping. Jessie is the newest addition to the Stopgap team and is enjoying the change in environment having spent the last five years lifeguarding in Wollongong. Outside of work Jessie spends summers outdoors swimming, and surfing and winters obsessing over her AFL Dream team, and supporting her beloved Carlton Blues.
Adair Dever
Adair Dever
Candidate Care Manager
From the streets of Manhattan to the spiritual corners of India, Adair has spent the last two years balancing a 20kg backpack, translating road maps, sleeping on train seats, singing with strangers and eating questionable cuisine through some 18 countries. A quest for stability saw her return to Sydney with a desire to work in a dynamic and valued environment. The decision to join the Stopgap Group seemed a fitting one. Adair works closely with the consultants here at Stopgap and is your point of call for any candidate enquires. After hours Adair enjoys nothing more than regular dance classes, having a laugh with friends, eating French cheese and singing (in the shower of course)!
Josephine Vaggis
Josephine Vaggis
Credit Controller
Though born in Australia, Josephine’s Italian heritage means she thoroughly loves cooking and is famous for her freshly made and hand-rolled pasta. Down time for Josephine means time with her two girls and husband. Throw in yoga, chocolate and playing the piano (she’s been playing since 8 years of age) and it’s a perfect day. Travel through Vanuatu, Singapore and Malaysia has given her the travel bug and she plans to take off to Disneyland and Europe with her family soon. Josephine’s almost two decades in accounting and credit roles means she brings a wealth of experience to the Stopgap Group and helps to keep our positive cashflow ticking over.
