Communications Officer

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a not for profit & they were established to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for the community. They're looking for a Communications Officer to join them for a 6-month contract.

THE ROLE:

The main responsibilities for the Communications Officer is to provide support to the Communications & Marketing Manager. The main tasks are as follows:

• Provide support for online content including, web, social & email
  Support with the social media communications analytics
• Help manage the website including: planning, executions, updates and evaluations
• Help create communication and marketing materials and digital versions of same
• Help create graphics for the various platforms
• Write content based on health expert or patient experiences
• Support with promotional and community engagement activities
• Help manage key suppliers and internal and external stakeholders

YOU:

• The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or Journalism, & experience in the not for profit/ government funded environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of written & verbal communications across a range of communication mediums
• Experience developing and implementing a range of communication tools to effectively deliver key messages, such as Mail Chimp and WordPress
• Must have experience in Microsoft Office, CMS platforms, social media channels as well as some experience in Photoshop, InDesign & Canva
• Google analytics and social media measurement skills are a must
