THE COMPANY:
Our client is a creative brand and packaging design agency, and they're on the lookout for a talented Business Development Specialist to join their friendly, collaborative team on a part-time permanent basis (3 days in the office).
 
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is focused on driving new business through proactive outreach, relationship building and converting opportunities into meetings and pipeline growth.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Outreach & Lead Generation - Proactively reaching out to prospects via cold calls, LinkedIn, personalised emails and follow-ups, as well as re-engaging dormant leads and managing outreach tools, as well as pulling quotes and proposals together and attending the initial sales meetings along with senior staff
  • Meeting Generation - Qualifying interest, securing introductions, booking and attending meetings with senior team members
  • Pipeline Management - Maintaining and updating the CRM (to be built), tracking pipeline stages, logging activity, managing follow-ups and reporting on progress
  • Opportunity Progression - Supporting the sales process post-introduction, following up, gathering information and keeping momentum moving through each stage
  • Client & Prospect Reactivation - Reconnecting with previous clients, past pitches and historic enquiries in collaboration with the wider team
  • Market Presence & Networking - Attending industry events, building relationships and representing the agency within the local market
  • Marketing Feedback Loop - Sharing insights with the marketing team around client needs, objections and market trends to support future campaigns and content
YOU:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous business development experience, ideally within a creative or agency environment
  • A proactive, "hunter" mindset with a genuine passion for building new business
  • Confidence working in a standalone role, driving activity and bringing in new clients
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both over the phone and face-to-face
  • The ability to present, negotiate and influence at all levels
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a real hunger to grow both the business and your own career
