The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for shaping the organisation’s marketing and sales direction. Key accountabilities include:
- Contributing to business strategy and annual planning as part of the Leadership Team.
- Developing and executing an integrated marketing, sales, events, and communications strategy.
- Strengthening brand positioning and market presence.
- Leading and mentoring the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and growth.
- Driving data-led growth and innovation through integrated campaigns across digital, social, CRM, e-commerce, and traditional channels.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maximise secondary revenue opportunities.
- Using insights, analytics, and research to inform campaign planning and measure effectiveness.
- Building and managing strong relationships with distribution partners.
- Leading product development to enhance the customer experience.
- Developing domestic sales and distribution strategies, including pricing, commissions, and product packaging.
- Identifying and pursuing new revenue streams beyond ticket sales.
- Overseeing the planning, promotion, and delivery of events and activations, including major events, seasonal campaigns, and school holiday programmes.
We are seeking an experienced senior marketing and sales leader with the following background:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 8–10+ years’ experience in senior marketing and/or sales leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success managing brand, marketing, PR, social media, and sales in a competitive environment.
- Strong digital marketing skills, with hands-on experience in CRM systems and data analytics.
- Proven track record in event marketing, sponsorship management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience managing large budgets and reporting to executive leadership and/or boards.
- A background in tourism, hospitality, or visitor experiences will be highly regarded.
