THE ROLE:
As an HTML Email Marketing Specialist, you’ll report to the Head of Production and be essential in crafting engaging email campaigns that align with client marketing strategies. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Build responsive and dynamic HTML emails, utilising best practices for performance, accessibility, and compatibility across various platforms.
- Design, code, and maintain reusable email templates, ensuring a consistent look and feel across all campaigns.
- Conduct testing across different devices and email clients (e.g., Outlook, Gmail, mobile) to ensure flawless rendering. Implement A/B testing to enhance email performance.
- Perform thorough QA checks to guarantee accuracy, functionality, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Work closely with designers and copywriters to bring visual concepts to life and collaborate with marketing strategists to meet campaign goals.
- Utilise platforms like Iterable and Salesforce to build and deploy emails.
- Leverage dynamic content and personalisation techniques to deliver targeted and relevant communications.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience in HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience as an Email Developer, preferably in an advertising or digital marketing agency.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Iterable, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or other email service providers (ESPs).
- Knowledge of email testing and rendering tools like Litmus or Email on Acid.
- A solid understanding of design principles and user experience to effectively translate designs into code.
- An analytical mindset to interpret performance data and optimise campaigns.
