THE COMPANY:
Our client is a not-for-profit industry association, advocating for the interests of Australia’s advertisers. They are seeking a part-time (two days per week) Head of Marketing/ Marketing & Communications Manager for a job share on an initial contract.
THE ROLE:
This role combines two key elements: Head of Marketing responsibilities as part of the job share, alongside Marketing & Communications Manager activities. Key responsibilities include:
Head of Marketing:
Develop and execute the overall marketing and communications strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
Establish clear objectives, KPIs, and implementation plans, providing regular progress reports.
Oversee thought leadership initiatives, speech writing, and brand campaigns.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts alongside the CEO.
Develop media strategies, proactive PR tactics, and communications assets such as press releases and opinion pieces.
Lead the podcast partnership and drive compelling member engagement content.
Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness and participation in events and training programmes.
Collaborate with the Director of Member Engagement and Events on member acquisition and event planning.
Lead marketing and ticket sales activities.
Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective resource allocation.
Marketing and Communications Manager:
Manage the communications calendar, create and oversee content for the website, social media, and newsletters, and implement communication strategies.
Assist with media releases and thought leadership initiatives, ensuring effective messaging.
Execute brand marketing activities, oversee digital initiatives, and maintain brand consistency across all channels.
Support event marketing, amplify content, and collaborate on member engagement strategies.
Oversee key documents, brand guidelines, research papers, and marketing assets.
YOU:
At least 5–6 years' experience in a senior marketing and communications role.
Proven track record of leading projects from concept to completion.
Event management experience is a plus.
Excellent time management skills and exceptional written and verbal communication.
Must be open to a part-time role and job share.
