THE COMPANY:

Our client is an independent national charity dedicated to supporting childhood cancer research and their vision is one hundred per cent survival of children with cancer while eradicating the harmful impacts treatment can bring.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Community & Campaigns Manager the main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing community fundraisers and nurture potential relationships to grow the national community fundraising program
  • Drive and promote the organisation's events and community fundraising programs
  • Manage the community fundraising income and expenditure budgets
  • Manage the annual calendar of community fundraising activities
  • Plan and deliver effective engagement and communication to grow and deliver on plans to increase the volume of community fundraisers, retain existing and cross promote and / or increase individual gift amounts
  • Event coordination ensuring appropriate representation at community fundraising activities
  • Manage incoming community fundraising enquiries and oversee administrative duties
  • Identify and secure sponsorship, prizes and incentives for community fundraisers as appropriate
  • Look for opportunities to engage potential community and corporate partners and sponsors and consult Partnerships team as required
  • Negotiate provider agreements
  • Consult with Marketing and Communications team to plan, promote and recognise community fundraising on digital channels and in traditional media
  • Manage effective relationships with key online fundraising providers to maximise fundraising return and experience for community fundraisers
  • Successfully manage the planning, administration, promotion and execution of key fundraising events

YOU:

  • The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualified and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in the non-profit sector
  • You will need to have managed events and a proven record in achieving fundraising income
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage multi-channel fundraising, events and communication campaigns
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal skills
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite and experience in CRM systems
  • You will need to have the willingness to work at events outside of normal office hours
  • Driver's licence is a must
