THE COMPANY:

Our client is one of Australia's leading Independent Cinemas founded over 70 years ago. They operate 27 screens across New South Wales, Queensland and ACT, exhibiting the best in quality cinema and alternative content.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Area Manager Queensland the main responsibilities include the following:

  • Plan and execute local marketing campaigns, initiatives and promotions within agreed timelines and budget
  • Assist in the design, coordination, implemention of successful marketing and publicity strategies
  • Maintain positive working partnerships with managers, staff, distributors, internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
  • Maintain and expand the sponsorship stream with key arts organisations, festivals, media outlets, corporate partners, retailers and grassroots community organisations
  • Establish partnerships with local business, and build the local Club partner program and local grass roots opportunities
  • Design and submit proposals for film related events and promotions including premieres
  • Plan, create and schedule engaging posts on local cinema social media accounts (Facebook & Twitter), set up event listings for internal events and ensure all customer enquiries on social media are answered and actioned as per the customer service policy
  • Build and develop effective professional relationships with media to create publicity and promotional opportunities and keep updated media lists
  • Write media releases and strategise editorial pitches
  • Work with the Sales and Events Coordinator to ensure internal events are promoted and any special promotions are set up to reach aligned audiences

YOU:

  • The ideal candidate will have a degree in marketing and good knowledge of communications, public relations and marketing processes
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Able to develop strong and productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholder
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment and good planning skills
