THE COMPANY:

Our client leads the economic, jobs and investment conversation across New South Wales and are looking for a Marketing Specialist to join them on a contractual basis.

THE ROLE:

The Marketing Specialist will research, secure, deliver and manage commercial, government, and community partners and sponsors for this iconic event. The main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Ensure a high level of renewals and service for the existing partner/stakeholder relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Help grow corporate and commercial event partnerships, and government and community partnerships
  • Ensure a high level of renewals and service for the existing partner/stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure that high quality global and local commercial brands align with the event brand guidelines, plus supports building Sydney's appeal as the premier tourism and major events destination in Australia
  • Identify and secure new commercial partners to leverage the events programs and activations to optimise event sponsorship revenue
  • Ensure the event sponsorship program contributes to other departments objectives
  • Work with, and provide information and advice to sponsors to facilitate greater alignment between the department, industry stakeholders, and partnerships
  • Operational support is needed including program coordination for sponsors and handle all sponsored content for the program
  • Manage day to day relationships with commercial partners/sponsors to ensure contractual obligations are met and act as the internal conduit to ensure all relevant rights and benefits are incorporated across marketing programs
  • Marketing and project management of sponsors activities and manage sponsor related content required for the event
  • Analysis of sponsor program outcomes and preparation of post-event / campaign reports on the results

YOU:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 4 - 5 years of sponsorship and or partnership experience
  • Experience of working on large scale events and coordinating all aspects of marketing collateral is essential
  • Strong project management skills is a must
