THE COMPANY:

Our client is a not for profit & they were established to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for the community. They're looking for a Communications Officer to join them.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Communications & Marketing Manager, the main responsibilities include the following:
  • Create, update, and coordinate content for the website (using WordPress)
  • Liaise with internal teams to provide relevant and topical information to their online subscribers and external audiences through email, social media, and website/s
  • Assist with developing and distributing the eNewsletters, help implement the internal communication strategies and deliver marketing materials
  • Assist with the implementation and delivery of social media campaigns
  • Manage online analytics reporting and content production
  • Edit and format corporate communications and marketing collateral to ensure compliance with required accreditation standards, organisational policy, and guidelines, e.g., media policy and brand guidelines, as needed
  • Help develop, and edit offline marketing collateral to promote programs and services as requested
  • Manage and upload website content, ensuring approval processes are followed; Ensure content follows the organisation’s brand, style and writing guides
  • Provide online and offline support to the communications and marketing team to deliver high-quality marketing collateral, communications, promotions, distribution of material and other marketing, business development and related activities
  • Assist with market research as required and evaluate the companies communication tools/channels and program communication plans
  • Help write and edit marketing & communication assets, including news articles, media releases and promotional materials
YOU:
  • The ideal candidate will have a Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or Journalism, or relevant ‘on the job’/professional skills and expertise
  • A high-level of written and verbal communication skills and experience across various communication mediums
  • Experience developing and implementing various communication tools and channels to effectively deliver key messages to identified target audiences such as Mail Chimp and Word Press
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office and have worked with a CMS (preferably Wordpress), social media platforms and other online software
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and other Abode functions) is a plus
  • Experience in a not-for-profit, government-funded environment is desirable
